JOHN LEE (KONOS Academy Headmaster, Director of Development, Financial Aid Administrator) Graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Brown University and Masters degree in Pastoral Divinity from the Log College at Heritage Church. John, with his wife Joanne, co-founded Grace Christian Academy, a classical Christian school in NY, and served as its principal, Bible and literature teacher until moving to Georgia in 2001. He is the homeschooling dad of five children, all of whom have attended or still attend Konos. SARAH JIMENEZ (Office manager, tuition administrator and registrar) Received her bachelor’s degree in English from Oglethorpe University. RENEE DELORENZO (Gradelink Administrator and Assistant) Renee sees her greatest accomplishments in her acts of service: to God (missionary 1997-2015), to her country (Army 1988-1994), to her husband (since 1995), and to her children (since 1998). SHANNON CULL (KONOS Plus On-Site Supervisor, Events Coordinator) Shannon earned her B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from Indiana University in 1996.  Shannon has been married to Chris for over 20 years and has 2 KONOS teenage boys, Luke and Joey.  For the past 12 years, she has enjoyed serving in student ministries at her church and is a gifted events organizer.  shannon@konos.org

HOLLY HAMPTON (Accreditation and College Guidance Counselor) Holly Hampton, B.S. Florida State University, as the Accreditation and College Guidance Counselor will make sure that your student has all the course requirements needed to graduate in the state of Georgia, and those courses will be reflected on an accredited transcript. She will also assist with the college application process, testing reminders, assistance with dual enrollment, NCAA application liaison, and the qualifying process for the HOPE scholarship, along with maintaining the accreditation status for KONOS Academy with Georgia Accrediting Commission(GAC).  holly@konos.org

CAROLE THAXTON (Director of Konos Kidlets) B.A. biology, M.S. counseling from Syracuse University, is 16-year homeschooling mom, teacher, counselor, co-author of the KONOS CURRICULUM and author of Learn to Write the Novel Way, Write Your Roots, and Olympic Writing. Before meeting Charles at L’Abri, she worked as a professional counselor at the Devereux Foundation. She has counseled, taught, and supervised in a variety of educational/developmental settings (residential treatment center, public school, private school, international school, home-school, and parent cooperatives). DR. CHARLES THAXTON (History, Old Testament and World Religions) Received a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from Iowa State University before studying and teaching at L’Abri. He completed post-doctoral work in the history of science at Harvard University and molecular biology at Brandeis University. He held a faculty position at Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic. He is co-author of The Mystery of Life’s Origin and The Soul of Science (both translated into several languages) and contributor to several books and journals. Dr. Thaxton has lectured worldwide. His specialty is issues in science/faith relationship and the history and philosophy of science. He has a passion to answer, “Can the Bible be trusted to give reliable answers to our questions?” and how to communicate the answers to skeptics. JOANNE LEE (English and Speech/debate, Drama Director) B.S. in Business Marketing from Long Island University and M.B.A. from St. John’s University, Joanne worked as an underwriting and human resources manager before she and her husband John co-founded Grace Christian Academy at Merrick, NY.  The Lees home school their five children, who are attending or who have graduated from KONOS. SUZANNE BUCHANAN (English) B.A. from Michigan State University in American Political and Legal Processes and J.D. from Indiana University School of Law. Suzanne served as staff editor and associate managing editor of the Indiana University Law Journal. She worked as a lawyer for 10 years before homeschooling since 2003.

CINDY JOHNSON (English Literature and Writing) B.S. RAY LEWIS (Government)
Bachelor of Music Education, Baylor University; Master of Music [Conducting] from Samford University. Ray worked fifteen years as a music director and director of music ministries in churches and Christian schools back in the mid-seventies through the eighties. He then spent the next 25 years in avionics and quality fields with Delta Air Lines and Organizational Strategies. All three of the Lewis children were home-schooled by loving wife, Donna, and all three attended Konos before heading off to college.  ray@konos.org

MARY JANE MACALUSO (Writing) B.A. in English with a minor in Spanish from Valdosta State University. Mary Jane worked as a copywriter and English tutor as well as an English language teacher in Seoul, South Korea. She has homeschooled 12 years and has two children in KONOS and one KONOS graduate. SAVANNAH POLLARD (Music Appreciation)  Savannah Pollard has loved music for as long as she can remember. Beginning piano lessons at age 5, she has continued to pursue music her whole life through piano and voice lessons, frequent musical productions, and even participating in a rock band for 2 years. She graduated in May of 2019 with a B.A. degree in Music Performance at Clayton State University. Savannah has found that although she loves seeing her students grow musically, she is equally excited to see them grow as people. As a Konos Academy alumnus, Savannah is delighted to get to work with Konos students and share her love of music with them.

ELIZABETH FRY (Head teacher of Konos Juniors)

TIFFANY McBRYDE (Teacher of Konos Juniors)
B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida, former proofreader and teacher’s aide, Bible study teacher, Children’s Choir director, Sunday school teacher, and homeschool mom for the past 9 years. NORMA JACOBSON (Head Teacher of Konos Kids)
Undergraduate degree and Masters in Social Work from the University of Alabama. This is Norma’s 11th year of teaching Konos Kids and she loves teaching elementary students. Norma home-schooled for several years,  led children’s choir at her church, and has been the coordinator of Camp Chippaway for 15 years.  norma@konos.org

SHEILA LEE (Head teacher of KONOS KIDLETS)
Sheila Lee and her husband Jim began their homeschool journey in 2001 when their four children were ages 6, 4, 2, and “new.” Now with three of them in college and at the end of their homeschool journey, Sheila is delighted to join the KONOS KIDLETS as a teacher. Looking back at her experience, she considers the elementary years her most favorite – particularly when she used the Konos Character Curriculum with her own children. Its multi-level, integrated unit studies and hands-on approach gave her nothing short of an enriching, God-focused way to foster the love of learning. This is what she joyfully imparts to our families.  sheila@konos.org

ABI CAUBLE (Teacher of KONOS KIDLETS)
As a little girl, Abi Cauble found herself drawn to the arts – especially painting and pencil. In her free time, she found that she couldn’t stop drawing. She picked up jobs doing custom work for friends: from wall murals to portraits, she painted everything. As a teenager, she completed DiDomizio’s Old World Art Program and a whole new world of art history, charcoal, pastels and oil painting opened up to her. Along the way, she picked up photography. Now, as a homeschooling mom of three, Abi is delighted to share her love of art with her own children and other kids in the community.  abi@konos.org

TABI LEE (Teacher of KONOS KIDLETS)
Tabi Lee, a homeschool graduate, first experienced Konos in a Box at home and then Konos Juniors, both of which she loved! During her high school and college years she enjoyed nannying, tutoring, and children’s ministry at church. Tabi completed her studies at Boyce College with an AA in Biblical & Theological Studies (2016) and a BS in Biblical Counseling (2019). She loves helping people with the Word of God, being involved in her brother’s film production company, and baking cakes for special events in her free time.

ERICA ROBINSON (Teacher of KONOS KIDLETS)
Erica Robinson, B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University, is a trained and eager teacher of young children. She taught for four years in public school before deciding to stay home to focus on her special needs daughter. Through working with her own daughter, volunteering, and substitute teaching with different schools, Erica has received training on many different types of special needs learners including deaf and hard of hearing, sensory processing disorders, ADAH, and autism. She loves teaching and fostering a love of learning in children and is a perfect fit for the Konos Kidlets program. Erica is the Family Ministries Director at Gospel Community Church, which she attends with her husband Paul and elementary-aged daughter.

HEIDI TRITT (Teacher of KONOS KIDLETS)
Heidi Tritt, B.S. Atlanta Christian College (AKA Point University) in Human Relations/Counseling, and her husband Joe have been married 33 years and have one child. Heidi’s father was a high school teacher and her mother was a stay-at-home mom who substitute taught on occasion. She has been involved in working with children since the age of 15 in a variety of different fields. Her homeschool journey began when her son was in Kindergarten and still continues here at KONOS. She loves teaching children and watching their excitement as they learn.  She’s very active in the children’s ministry at her church as well. Her parents taught her how to love learning, and she believes that you are never too old to stop learning. Heidi is excited to join the KONOS KIDLETS team and is looking forward to watching the Kidlets learn and grow. One of her life verses is Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”

MARTHA BLANCHARD (Physical Science and Physics)

DENISE CHRZANOWSKI (Middle School Science)
Post-Masters Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of California, San Diego; Masters degree from the University of Tennessee – Memphis; Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Memphis; Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Penn State University. Denise has been working in Urgent Care as a nurse practitioner for the past 20 years, and has homeschooled four children since 2004. JODETTE DIDOMIZIO (Classical Art)
Early in life, JoDette discovered a passion in art by drawing everything she could get her hands on. Her original designs have been represented in a children’s card collection, art shows, and art galleries. JoDette married her husband Chris DiDomizio, owner/operator of a successful art school in Atlanta, DiDomizio’s Art Center, Inc. Jodette is an artist, art teacher, and director of the Children’s Art Program which encompasses ages six through high school. In 2010, she opened a non-profit organization “Art With a Mission, Inc.” which reaches out to orphans and needy families through art fundraisings. In 2019, her Konos visual arts team won seven awards in regional competition.

SUSAN GRECO (American Sign Language)
B.A. in Literature, Cultural Studies from SUNY Empire State College.  Susan continued studies at Hofstra University for qualifying training to work with the deaf.  Her childhood growing up alongside a deaf brother and immersion in the deaf community through the Long Island Church of the Deaf conditioned Susan to work for several years as a job coach and interpreter for the deaf. Susan has homeschooled her four children over a period of twelve years. Since 2012 she has provided instruction in American Sign Language (“ASL”). Expressing poetry, stories, and hymns/spiritual songs in ASL is Susan’s specialty and remains her favorite pastime in ASL study. sue@konos.org

JEREMY HARWELL (Photography)
Mr. Harwell has been in love with photography for a very long time! He started as a photojournalist working for newspapers and then moved on to portrait photography and commercial photography. For the last 12 years, he has run his own boutique commercial studio. He has been published in USA Today, New York Times, AJC, Photo District News, Atlanta Magazine, Martha Stewart Weddings, Modern Bride, Inside Weddings, Destination Weddings, Bride’s Magazine and Bride’s UK. He was honored to win PDN’s Rising Star of Photography in 2012 and was named one of the world’s Top Wedding Photographers by Martha Stewart in 2014.  jharwell@harwellphotography.com

MARIELLE HERSEY (Middle School Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II)
M.A. Masters in Education from the University of Michigan and MBA from Baker University. A former engineer, technical training consultant, web designer, technical writer and photography business owner, she left her career to stay home with her children and has been home-schooling the last 16 years. A native of Switzerland, Mrs. Hersey is fluent in four languages. JUDY LINZIE (Spanish)
B.A. from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN with a double major in Spanish and Italian and a minor in French.  Mrs. Linzie was born in Cuba and studied in Italy for a year. CASSIE MCGUIRE (Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Biology)
B.S. in Mathematics with an emphasis in Biology from the University of West Georgia.  Cassie has taught high school math in public school as well as serving as a math tutor for middle school through college level. She left her full-time teaching career to begin homeschooling her three children as her oldest child approached kindergarten. TOM ROBINSON (Computer Science Principles)
B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a Computer Engineering emphasis from Michigan State University. Scholarship football player for four years and was recognized with the Potsy Ross award for top GPA on the team. DR. JESSICA SHOCKEY (Biology and Chemistry)

RAY LEWIS (Chorus)
Bachelor of Music Education, Baylor University; Master of Music [Conducting] from Samford University. Ray worked fifteen years as a music director and director of music ministries in churches and Christian schools back in the mid-seventies through the eighties. He then spent the next 25 years in avionics and quality fields with Delta Air Lines and Organizational Strategies, but continued to stay in music as the accompanist at Heritage Reformed Baptist Church for over twenty years before turning over the piano bench to Konos’s Kim Pollard. All three of the Lewis children were home-schooled by loving wife, Donna, and all three attended Konos before heading off to college. In addition to starting the Konos Chorus in 2018, Ray works part time as his church administrator.  ray@konos.org
